FLATBUSH mandolins possess an unusual balance of clarity and warmth combined with the deep dark woody punch required by Bluegrass Musicians.

Only the finest aged tonewoods are carefully selected and
matched for stiffness, grain pattern and beauty. Top and back plates are painstakingly hand-carved, graduated and
tap-tuned.
When the optimum tone is reached, F-holes are cut in the top and bracing is
fitted and tuned.

Necks are hand-carved to a comfortable shape. After final
assembly, fine adjustments are
made to the top and back to bring out the depth and character of the instruments
voice.

A Sunburst finish is applied to the bare wood, which highlights the grain figure. This is then protected by numerous coats of lacquer, which are finally polished to a high gloss lustre.
